LPGA launches Nanea Cup event next March in Hawaii
The LPGA will launch the Nanea Cup, a $4 million event featuring tour professionals and top college players, next March in Hawaii, the tour announced on Tuesday.
The tournament at Nanea Golf Club on March 11-14, 2027, will feature 95 LPGA players and 25 top college players at a venue where an annual women's college golf event is hosted by Stanford women's golf coach Anne Walker.
"Our excitement about adding the Nanea Cup to the 2027 LPGA Tour schedule is off the charts," LPGA commissioner Craig Kessler said.
"Hawaii is a natural stop as we return from Asia and head to the (US) West Coast. Nanea is a spectacular venue."
This year, the LPGA played events in Thailand, Singapore and China in February and March before events resumed in California and Arizona.
The Nanea field will be cut to 50 players and tied after two rounds while collegians also will compete on Saturday to determine a team champion.
